The July 4th weekend is a popular destination for young and old to enjoy a parade, vendors, yard sales, games, barbecue and a fireworks display.  "Ukiah Days" is sponsored by several groups including the volunteer fire department.  The Battle Mountain AmVets Auxiliary sponsors events including the local fishing derby in June, Wednesday night bingo during the winter and the food bank.  The Stitch and Chatter quilting club meets twice a week, sewing quilts for personal use and raffles. The club has raised several hundred dollars for various community needs.
